Thanks for the info on unchecked_conversion,
in particular to Richard, Matthew, Charlie, and Jeff.
The way UC appeared in function definitions,
I didnt think it was a function, instead I thought
it was some attribute so that the function would
not perform type-conversion checking.
From the examples provided so far,
it seems like someone could achieve the same
result sometimes, using just the 'POS attribute
of the given type, with a little extra code of course.
Now I wonder what if it werent available?
Could we still survive without it?
Anyway, thanks for your help.
