Stage Harbor Software announces the release of Books 5 and 6 in the
series of online tutorials called HOT_Ada (Hypergraphic tutorials
in Object Technology and Ada 95). The two new "books" are a
companion pair dealing with the use of Ada 95 in developing
Information Systems.

Authored by Dr. Ben Brosgol (author of Annex F "Information Systems"
of the Ada 95 Reference Manual) and Dr. Bard Crawford (author of
earlier HOT_Ada modules), these computer-based training products run
on Windows platforms (95 or NT).

Book 5 contains a set of illustrated lessons on decimal types,
picture strings, character and string handling, and
interfacing with legacy code written in COBOL and C.

Book 6 is built around a non-trivial Payroll System case study,
which further illustrates the issues covered in Book 5 and
also illustrates the use of Aonix's ObjectAda (tm) for
Windows system, especially its GUI Builder. Implementation
in Ada is preceeded by language-independent object oriented
analysis and object oriented design steps.

The graphic notation in these two books has been updated
(compared to earlier HOT_Ada modules) to be consistent with the
Unified Modeling Language (UML).

The price is $29 for either book; $39 for the 2-book set.
($15 and $20 for full-time students)
Site licenses are also available.

For more information on all HOT_Ada products and how to purchase
them, see web site at:
