I bought AETECH's Integrada 386 and their AdaGraphics library (both Ada83)
about five years ago, and have since been contentedly using those tools to
create numerous programs for myself and coworkers. Recently, however, my wife
(who is a musician) has asked if I can create a customized program for her
that involves using MIDI input to control a soundcard. My question is, are
there any libraries out there (and I'm willing to pay, not just asking for
freebies) that I could use for interpreting MIDI input and/or controlling
soundcards. Perhaps I could use Ada's low-level capabilities and do it
myself, but I'm not interested in that; I'm not a profession programmer -
just an engineer who does programming to support my work. I'd even consider
upgrading to an Ada95 compiler if that proves necessary.
