Subject: Unresolved symbol in libgnat with C++

Message-ID: <1996Jun27.145526.24754@hrbicf> (raw)

I am trying to build an executable on a Silicon Graphics (SGI)
workstation using a mixture of GNAT and the SG C++ compiler
(I have a commercial C++ library built with this compiler that
I need to interface with). The Ada code calls C++ functions
which have been coded to use the 'c' naming conventions for
the linker.

I used gnatbind to create the '.c' main function. This was then compiled
using the 'c' compiler (cc). This object file was linked with the
ada and the C++ object code to form an executable.

However, when I run the executable the runtime linker reports an error:

"unresolvable symbol in /usr/lib/libgnat.so: __dummy"

Is there a step I am missing?
