Ok. I've wrestled with the "documentation", and I can't decide
whether or not ActivAda can generate DLL's. I have read the DLL stuff
in Micro$oft's Win32 Programmer's reference (Chapter 50). It shows
how to create a DLL using C. You compile the C code (using no really
kinky switches), and then use the linker and Library Manager to
generate several files, one of which is the DLL, and another is the
export library.
Here are my questions:
1) Has anyone out there created a DLL with ActivAda ?
2) Has anyone out there *used* a DLL, using either Load-time or Run-
time linking ? How do you specify the call ? Pragma Interface ?
Please post or email as appropriate.
Just my $.02 worth...I like the product. I don't use the Gui builder
or the development environment...The code produced by the GUI builder
is just too ugly, and I'm too attached to 43 line Brief to use a
Window's editor (I don't like using the mouse for coding). The
generated applications are cool, though.
