On November 2, 1994, SunSoft, Inc. announced the availability of
SunSoft WorkShop for Ada, an integrated product suite for Ada
software development.

The SunSoft WorkShop is a toolset for developing advanced,
performance-critical applications on UNIX platforms.  It
incorporates tools for individual and teams of developers to speed
application development, increase software quality, and boost
application performance.

"Ada developers need a high-performance set of tools for their
mission-critical applications," said Jon Kannegaard, Vice President
and General Manager of Developer Products at SunSoft.  "SunSoft
WorkShop for Ada makes it possible for Ada developers to maximize
the multitasking performance speed of their applications while
boosting their productivity."

The availability of SunSoft WorkShop for Ada will enable developers
to easily incorporate the power of Solaris multiprocessing and
multithreading (MP/MT) into their Ada applications.  The new Ada
version is featured in the recent Federal contract awarded to Sun
Microsystems, Inc. in the I-CASE (Integrated Computer and Software
Environment) award.

 RATIONAL AND MARTIN MARIETTA'S ACC SIGN COMPREHENSIVE AGREEMENT

DATELINE:  November 4, 1994

On October 25, 1994, Rational Software Corporation and the
Martin Marietta Information Group's Advanced Concepts Center (ACC)
signed a comprehensive, worldwide strategic marketing alliance at
the Object-Oriented Programming Systems, Languages, and
Applications (OOPSLA) trade show and conference in Portland, OR.

The ACC and Rational will market and sell both companies
object-oriented analysis and design tools and services.  This
includes the Rational Rose family of graphical software-engineering
tools, the OMTool product family, formal and workshop-style
training for both the Booch method and the OMT, comprehensive
mentoring and consulting expertise to guide organizations to
project success, and full-scale project management and systems
integration services providing complete solutions.

Rational Software Corporation announced that its Rational Rose
family of graphical, object-oriented, software-engineering tools
will be extended to support the Object Modeling Technique (OMT)
developed by James Rumbaugh, et al.  A prototype of the tool
supporting the OMT was demonstrated at the Object-Oriented
Programming Systems, Languages, and Applications (OOPSLA) trade
show and conference last week.
