OK, my project hit an unavoidable snag with Oracle's Pro*Ada
(version problems). Instead of kludging around it, we're looking
for (hopefully low cost) alternatives.

We don't necessarily have a mandate to use SQL-based products,
the only constraint we have is that it must run entirely on
SGI computers (my research into AdaSAGE revealed (surprise!)
that schemas must be created/displayed with a PC - which is
in no way part of our architecture).

We're looking for something that's bigger than a B-tree package
but smaller than an industrial strength DB program (for only
$25K per month, you can sort a database of addresses on this
MAINFRAME in less than 2 seconds (DASD not included)!).

Replies are solicited via this newsgroup or e-mail, whichever you feel
is appropriate.
