Table on usage of OS and Language.
Which OS and Languages do you Which ones do you except to use
use now? in two years?
DOS 85.0% C or C++ 64.6%
C or C++ 71.8% Unix 54.2%
Windows 3.x 67% Windows NT 53%
Unix 51% DOS 48%
Assembly 49.4% Windows 3.x 47.8%
Real-Time
kernels 26.2% Assembly 33.7%
Macintosh 23.7% Real-time
kernels 26.3%
Fortran 17.3% Macintosh 17.5%
Pascal 14.8% Ada 11.1%
Ada 8.7% Fortran 8.1%
Windows NT 5.3% Pascal 5.4%
Other 12% Other 9.4%
I thought it interesting that C or C++ went down while Ada went up.
