I've heard that a GNU Ada compiler is being written.
Is it true, and if yes is there a release date for a beta/final
version ?
Is it based on GCC ?

NYU is developing GNAT, GNU-NYU Ada9X Translator. It will be distributed
as part of the gcc distribution. Expected release seems to be mid-93.

I was told recently that there was a GNU version of Ada...is there, and if
so, what's it called? Or is it still in the works?
