I recently received the Catalogue of Interface Features and Options
(CIFO) for the Ada Runtime Environment as a special edition of Ada
Letters.
Do I understand correctly that the CIFO is a "suggestion" from the Ada
user community to Ada compiler venders?
I have not yet had a chance to read the entire CIFO, but have skimmed
through it and examined some of the entries in detail. All of the entries
seem very useful. I am especially impressed with the Scheduling Control
section. The implementation of these entries will eliminate many of the
work-arounds necessary for the design of real-time systems with Ada.
