I'm interested in corresponding with anyone else who has mucked around
with the PIWG benchmarks on a Mac using Meridian's system. A couple
of general points:
-- I've had problems running or compiling several of the tests (not the
ones flagged as potential problems either); has anyone else solved this?
-- The number of iterations run on many tests are high. This seems to
be driven by SYSTEM.TICK equalling 1.0. I wrote a simple routine to get at
the Mac clock which has resolution of 16.67 ms. I'm using this in CPU
timer routine, but this doesn't change the value of SYSTEM.TICK.
