I am looking for information on a set of tools that will allow the staff of
a large Ada program to efficiently and effectively produce Ada structure
graphs (a.k.a Buhr diagrams). This is most likely a FAQ but
experience shows there does not appear to be a good answer. We have
had limited experience using both Adagen and Teamwork Ada but for various
reasons, the use of both of these tools degenerated into the use of
that universal CASE tool MacDraw.

One of the major disadvantages of the above mentioned tools (MacDraw
excluded) is the inability to mix levels of abstraction in a particular
diagram. For example, assume that the Ada system contains a generic
package that provides a complicated set of tasks and subprograms and,
furthermore, assume that instances of this package appear multiple
times in the system. It may be quite important to show the tasks in
that generic package in one set of diagrams and in another set of
diagrams to show the subprograms in that generic package. Or, it may
be important to simply note the existence of that generic package but
show in excruciating detail the structure of another package at the
same level.

Please e-mail any responses, my net monitoring time is quite limited.

Thanks in advance,
