We are looking for an Ada compiler for the Sun SPARCstation (SunOS
4.0.3c, 4.1c)
to use in an academic environment. It would be used for research
projects as well
as teaching Ada programming to computer science students. We would also
use it in
conjunction with a CASE tool such as Teamwork or Software Through Pictures
(we're evaluating those also). A call to the Pentagon's Ada Clearing House
revealed only two validated compilers for this platform - Verdix and Telesoft.
Are there any others? Does anyone have any suggestions that will help us decide
between the two? I don't normally read this newsgroup, so I would appreciate
direct replies. I will also watch this newsgroup for awhile in case someone
posts a reply that doesn't get to me.
