You know how I usually rail against arbitrary buffer size limits
in programs? Today we encountered an extraordinarily stupid one in
the standard UNIX utility xargs. It complains and then dumps core
if a filename used in an "{}" insertion exceeds 255 characters.
Full pathnames longer than that are perfectly legal, of course.
Naturally GNU xargs works fine.
