Very interesting, thanks for the pointer.
I solved the problem using a little perl hack (the result can be seen
at http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=14985&action=view)
but if I have more of these problems then I'll probably switch to
AdaSubst.
