I am preparing a series of commentaries on Barry Boehm and Richard
Turner's book, "Balancing Agility and Discipline: A Guide for the
Perplexed" ([Boehm and Turner, 2004]). Each commentary is inspired by a
particular passage in the book.

One commentary is based on Grady Booch's foreword. In it, among many
other things, Booch mentions the "object-oriented analysis and design
method wars." In preparing the commentary, I uncovered a "relic,"
i.e., a presentation that I gave at a software development conference
ten years ago. This was before the full advent of the Rational Unified
Process (RUP), and the major introduction of "agile approaches."

If you are interested, you can get a copy of the 26 slides from the
presentation at http://www.toa.com/pub/AdvancedOOAD.zip.

[Boehm and Turner, 2004]. B. Boehm and R. Turner, Balancing Agility and
Discipline: A Guide for the Perplexed, Addison-Wesley, Boston,
Massachusetts, 2004.

I hope that you find it of some interest.
