The Graphical Representation of Algorithms, Structures, and Processes
(GRASP) Research Group at Auburn University is pleased to announce
the availability of pcGRASP Version 1.0 (Beta 4.2) for Windows 95/NT.

DESCRIPTION:

pcGRASP is a development environment for the Windows 95/NT platform
that is designed to be used in conjunction with GNAT - the GNU Ada95
Compiler. Using a high-speed internal parser, pcGRASP is able to
analyze source code and display control structure information in the
source code in a non-intrusive manner. The GRASP goal is to increase
comprehension, without "getting in the way" of the development
process.

Other features of pcGRASP include:

        - Integrated Development Environment. Users of pcGRASP can
develop, compile, and run programs without leaving pcGRASP. The tool
automatically finds and highlights errors discovered by the compiler.

        - Multiple Document Interface. Like many commercially
available tools pcGRASP allows users to have many edit windows open
at once using the standard Windows multiple document interface. Each
edit window may be independently configured.

        - Color Syntax Highlighting. pcGRASP automatically colors
keywords, comments, strings, operators, identifiers, and control
structure characters for enhanced visual clarity. This coloring is
completely configurable by the user.

        - Automatic Reformat ("Pretty Printing"). Generation of a
control structure reformats as it analyzes, resulting in easily
readable and nicely indented source code.

        - Multi-Language Support. In addition to Ada95, pcGRASP
supports these same features for Java, C, and VHDL For Java and C,
pcGRASP uses the Java Development Kit (JDK) and GNU GCC,
respectively.

WHERE TO GET IT:

pcGRASP is available in the PAL or at the GRASP Homepage:
http://www.eng.auburn.edu/grasp

pcGRASP is distributed free of charge. We encourage you to use it,
tell others about it, and send us feedback so we can improve it.

If you get pcGRASP from the PAL, or other source, we encourage you go
to the GRASP homepage and sign up on our mailing list to receive
information about pcGRASP and notices of new releases.

NOTICE FOR UNIX/LINUX USERS:

GRASP is also available for your platform with the same (and more)
features. For more information, access the GRASP homepage above.
