Another failing of the Apex subsystem notion
is how it does not fit into the other Rational product
called Rose UML. For example, given a brand new
software project I presume one could create an object
oriented model of the Ada software using Rose UML.
Rational advertises that the UML can code generate into
Ada or Java.

So here is another question to continue the thread.
How do you create an object oriented model which
spans Apex subsystems and is written using
Rational Rose UML?

Since the UML is one monolithic model, then the
generated Ada or Java must also fit into one subsystem.
If this is not the case, you risk creating a huge inverted
pyramid in your deployed design. The UML apex at the bottom
essentially supports a fan-out of subsystems, which is clearly
a maintenance nightmare.
