The MITRE Corporation's Advanced Information Technology
Center offers engineers and computer scientists the
opportunity to work on multi-disciplinary teams solving
complex problems in distributed interactive simulation
and advanced decision support. We offer a team-oriented
environment that uses the latest information technology
available. We need highly motivated individuals at all
levels who demonstrate skills in the following areas:

                 SOFTWARE ENGINEERS

Candidates must have proven hands-on software
development skills across a variety of platforms.
Knowledge and experience in applying software
engineering principles and methodologies is imperative.
Experience using C, C++, LISP, Ada, Perl, and/or JAVA
are desired. Proficiency in X Windows, Motif, RPC, DCE
and CORBA are a plus.

 ARCHITECTURES FOR ADVANCED DISTRIBUTED SIMULATIONS

Ideal candidates should have background in protocols
for distributed simulations, knowledge of architectures
for next-generation command and control systems, and
experience in the applications of these principles to
develop systems that are interoperable and promote
software reuse.

          ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ENGINEERS

Candidates must demonstrate experience in the analysis,
design and prototyping of modeling and reasoning
systems involving simulation, decision support,
training or C2. Knowledge of at least two of the
following areas is also required: AI; intelligent
agents; modeling; simulation; uncertainty reasoning;
analysis; decision support and training. Experience
with C, UNIX and user interfaces (C/X-Windows,
LISP/CLIM) a plus.

All of the above positions require a BS, MS or PhD in
Computer Science or related field. Experience with WWW,
military modeling, C4ISR, and information warfare a
