Janus/Ada was available on PCs from early 1983 onwards, although the full Ada version wasn't released until 1987. But before Meridian there was Artek and before them there was Supersoft. And both Supersoft and early Janus/Ada ran on CP/M-80 on a Z-80 (these obviously were subsets). Janus/Ada always had versions available for less than $300, and usually had a $99 version.
