It tells more that you haven't really tried neither. If you had you
would see how much more efficient they are (especially vim).

It is folly to say that every program should be equal when it clearly
hinders efficiency. It is like saying one should only have programs with
a Graphical UI. Well try do a repetitive task 200 times in a GUI
application by clicking with the mouse and compare it to a command line
script.
