The main goal of jackit is professionell interconnection of soundhardware and multiple apps. It does not support volume-changes, but for that question it is possible to use a native mixer-application from the OS. Drawback is that the application won't have a volume-slider, but professionell Audio-solutions like Cubase don't have it as well.
