I suggest that you work through an on-line tutorial on Ada, or read a textbook. The text for the course you seem to be taking would be a good place to start. Doing your Ada homework in C and then trying to get us to translate it into Ada piecemeal is unlikely to work, even if you end up with a working program. The result will be unlike what you would create if you learned Ada. I suggest visiting adapower.com or adaworld.com. There you will find numerous on-line tutorials and textbooks. Once you have learned the basics of Ada, you will find your task much easier, and your skills as a coder much improved. If you still have specific questions, you will find us much more helpful. -- Jeff Carter "I fart in your general direction." Monty Python & the Holy Grail 05
