It may be of some interest for the readers of this group to get a comparison of these tools without having to read a new group. In particular, GNAT users may want to know that free CM tools exist, so that a complete build system can cost nothing (although, as Robert states often, it might be crazy to use a compiler or a CM tool without support for real development).
