This seems to be standard sort of stuff for job ads. 2 years ago they all wanted 5+ years in Windows NT. My theory is that the person wanting a job says "give me someone who knows Java", and the HR person who fills out the job ad translates that to 5+ years Java 5+ years HTML Windows programming experience required OLE and ODBC programming experience recommended Of course, on the other hand by saying "I haven't used Fortran 77 in twenty years" might actually mean it hasn't been used. Or that using it physically aged the person enough so that the statement is true in perspective. -- Darin Johnson djohnson@ucsd.edu O- Gravity is a harsh mistress - The Tick
