I've never thought that a GUI is the end-all interface. Voice command is probably closer, or perhaps some sort of brain-wave control? Playing around with a pointing device and a screen is just a way station (with a few exceptions of things that are inherently visual - photo processing, maps, etc.). One result is that solving the problems of GUI creation is less necessary for the long-term than people make out. Randy.
