Sure, but it's mainly in theory, like GC in Ada implementations. Java implementations that compile to machine code instead of a JVM implementation have not exactly turned the world on fire, just like getting ObjectAda to work with Great Circle, or AppletMagic or JGNAT didn't. "Inherently" is probably not the point. "In practice" probably is. - Ed
