Embedded gives even less incentive for bounded strings due to their poor memory footprint and performance loss caused by algorithm based on assigning strings. If you don't assign strings you don't need bounded-length ones. For accumulators in embedded I am customary use a stream backed by a String. -- Regards, Dmitry A. Kazakov http://www.dmitry-kazakov.de
