For each bug you did not find due to lack of coding, you save $10. For each bug you did not find due to lack of testing you save $100. For each bug you did not find due to lack of customers you save $1000. Unfortunately, neither not coding nor not delivering the software to the customer is a viable business option, so you save every penny you can in design and testing.
