Because that is the goal of education. People must see physics as a method
of understanding physical world.

So is programming, it is not about how to move the mouse cursor, it is
about how to program those damned things and how to understand the way
things are programmed.

P.S. I find this discussion very illuminating. At least it explains to me
why we, software industry guys, are so unsatisfied with the output of the
education system.
