I have gotten wound up in the past over the obstinacy of some of my correspondents whose fervent loyalty to one particular language or another blinds them to the fact that good programming is more a matter of good practices that a choice of language. For this reason I was too quick to respond heatedly to the article which, I admit, stopped short of explicitly saying that the language was the problem. I will not waste everyones time by listing the subtle ways in which, never-the-less, that thesis was implied.
