Unfortunately, Sun has one gross deficiency, at least concerning their spreadsheet; they do not understand that software engineering needs to be applied to a spreadsheet. The only one that was worth anything was Lotus' Improve. Columns and rows must have unique, human understandable names. This permits formulas to be understood by mere mortals, the customers.
