I think that there is no need for separate *unmoderated* group for the SPARK. But *moderated* group may make sense. There will not be too many messages, so that group will not take too much time from moderator(s), and being moderated that group will be more serious, free from advocacy, language wars, chat etc. - it seems somehow attractive.
