Not only dead/bad, but also improper ones. I just glanced there... better I did not do that. In the list of national Ada organizations I discovered Ada-Russia, to my surprise; I followed the link, and found simply website in Russian. Yes, it is dedicated for Ada, and contains Ada-related materials and links, but I found there no traces of any organization. Then I checked list of associated organizations in Ada-Europe, and as I expected there are no Ada Russia. So, this name is premature, at best. But this was not the worse: on that site (pseudo- Ada Russia) I discovered new Ada textbook in Russian, (not a translation, but presented as original writing) and glanced into it too... again, better I did not do it. Well, as I feared (by past experience) all symptoms are in place, beginning from the book title, which demonstrates playing with words - this title may be read as slang form of "Ada programming" or normal language form of "Hell programming". Then follows the substance of the book with all usual terminological negligence; the highest achievement is, perhaps, translation of the term "elaboration"... but I may be mistaken here - I looked into the text about 5 minutes only, so there may be even greater invention. Well, I understand - good intentions, as usual. Alexander Kopilovitch aek@vib.usr.pu.ru Saint-Petersburg Russia
