Were there some discussion related to this "once upon a >time"?-) Oracle probably choose their own way due to market analyzis. That's nice that PLSQL was inspired by Ada, although no many people know it. Oracle had some tool for Ada, but now it is gone. There was Pro*Ada Precompiler, but it was in versions 7.*. I had no possibility to use (or try it), because I started with Oracle from 8.*. I seen somewhere on their web pages, that Pro*Ada will be no longer included (but there is ProC/C++, ProFortran and ProCOBOL). However, there is still SQL Module for Ada, but I don't know for how long it will exist. Documentation file for this product is dated for December 1997, while for other products - no earlier than 1999. A bit sad perspective... Mike
