This is why I regret, that Ada was not the first language I was introduced to. Some mess was with C++, because it was given as an _extension_ to C. Maybe if it was presented as an independent, new language, the situation would be a slight better. I had lectures on object analysis and software engineering, where I was shown benefits of generics, packages and other features which Ada has (and there was no word about Ada!). Further there were notes about code analisys and inspection, maintenace. After that I found Ada modern language enabling to keep high quality of software. I cannot understand, why it is not so widely used...
