I don't think you're missing anything. Of course my BC code could be wrong too. I looked at the GNATColl code; maybe it's age, maybe it was too late at night, but I couldn't summon up the energy to understand it. And I don't think I like the way it uses internal packages (but there may be a good reason for the design).
