Might some of the news on be > worth replicating? That's part of the trouble, we've never been able to get clear agreement within the ARA what should be allowed and what should not. There is a legitimate concern about publisizing too much for non-members, which reduces the value of ARA membership to those companies. When Ann and I were in charge, we tended to report all member news, but only significant news events for other companies and organizations (that is, no "minor updates" or "third call for papers"). I think that's still pretty much the case. One of the reasons I started hanging out here was to gather possible news items, and I still forward anything interesting to the AdaIC webmaster list. But it is better still if the newsmakers themselves do this; just send any news items to webmaster@adaic.org and the right people will see them (and decide if they ought to be posted). Randy.
