All of which is why it isn't currently named that. :-) >Probably it is better to have it rooted as its own thing so it can be as >flexible as possible until such time as The Powers That Be decide to >immortalize you by including The Dennison Components into the standard. :-) Fine by me. It might be a good idea if it were something reasonably interchangable with "Ada." when/if the time comes. But then again, perhaps it would be best to have somthing that we would be comfortable with on its own for perpetuity. I know the "Dennison Components" bit was just a joke, but I'd like to make one thing perfectly clear: I don't want or need my name prominently attached to this. This has been and should contiune to be a community effort. We have just reached a point in the discussion where we really need something tangible to talk around. I'm trying to see if it is possible to synthesize our agreements into source code form. If it is possible, great. If not, it was worth a shot. If I wanted to make my *own* component library, I'd just do it rather than come up here asking for input on everything. More likely, I'd *not* do it and use Booch. :-) --- T.E.D. homepage - http://www.telepath.com/dennison/Ted/TED.html No trees were killed in the sending of this message.
