John Barnes makes his living authoring books (along with related things like training sessions) and as such expects people to pay for them. John guards the electronic copies pretty carefully; I don't think I ever saw a complete e-copy of the book even when I was helping him with some of the examples (I just saw the part he wanted help with). If you want a free resource, I highly recommend Ada Distilled, which is available on-line (one of the other respondents gave a link). The Wikibook is also good. Randy.
