Position implies to me it could be anywhere in the list. Side seems more
appropriate. Also, its already used to mean this in one of the iterator
constructors.

That's true. However, there could be a bit of confusion as to which end of
"Front" and "Back" is the "pre" end and which is the "ap" end. Its a lot clearer
the current way as to where the new element will go, because we are using a
consistent terminology.
