I think we should approach this differently. OK, this makes a lot of sense---the kind of thing I'm thinking of does seem a lot more related to "single dispatch" than to the sort of multiple dispatch in your earlier example involving a Printer and Contents. I haven't yet looked over the rest of your idea carefully yet... But at least I think we understand each other now. -- Adam
