My apologies to people for wasting their time answering this question.
 I realised soon after posting that the answer is `access  constant
string', about which I didn't previously know.

I did look out for the question on the group, in order to comment
`don't reply', but as it hadn't appeared twelve hours after I thought
I'd sent it, I assumed that I had made a mistake in posting and it
wouldn't appear.
