To make a long story short I've managed to create the tables in the Postgre= SQL database by exchanging the word "localhost" for 127.0.0.1: gnatcoll_db2ada -dbmodel=3Ddatabase_schema.txt -dbhost=3D127.0.0.1 -dbport= =3D5432 -dbname=3Dhello -dbuser=3Dpostgres -dbpasswd=3Dasdf -createdb Perhaps someone can verify that this does the trick?
