It seems that in the first sentence in it you presume that you are faced with the choice of C++ and Java for some product, which need not really work. But what will be your choice between C++ and Java if the resulting product must really work? I can hardly believe that you will still choose Java (given, by the way, that all libraries you may use will be also from Java world in that case).
