That's not my experience. In my classes, I teach what my experience says
is the right thing to teach, I very seldom find students have a good idea
of what they need to learn! 

P.S. I do not find that I have no students :-) on the contrary, my classes
seem pretty popular, so I am not sure there is a correlation there at all!
