The important thing is not to be unhelpful when students ask for help
with homework. The most unhelpful thing you can do is to do the students
work for them. This is extremely unfair and harmful to the students, who
lose the critical opportunity of learning how to figure things out for
themselves. What is ironic is that in many cases, people acting in this
unfair and inconsiderate manner actually think they are being helpful!
