seems to work best in polling mode with some interrupt work. In other
words; not the standard Ada way of doing things. The Ada language sans

There is nothing to stop you doing a GNAT port with no tasking (it has been
done a number of times!)

There is nothing to stop you doing a gcc port with no floating-point!
