Apparently, DEC has decided that Ada 95 toolsets are not a reasonably viable product for them to produce on their own, which is a very different concept from declaring the language itself to not be viable. Both Rational and DEC have said they are commited to Ada, and that Rational is in a better position than DEC to develop such toolsets." Note that Ada Core Technologies can supply today a full language Ada 95 compiler for DEC Unix, covering all the core language and all annexes.
