We even have a name for the corresponding utility, it is called GNOME, for GNAT Online Message Explanation. A great name :-) but no code yet :-( But sure, I agree with what Doug said, my comments were solely about what the default text of the message says (i.e. what you see in Emacs as you go through the program checking error messages).
